My VLX was less brand new and fully loaded last year. Checked one of these out at the boat show last weekend. If that’s the boat you’d rather have than good for you. I’m happy with my purchase though. Cool pooper though.

I don’t think they can dupe many that actually want a WAKEBOARD boat. The price is too high. You can get many top V-drives for the price they ask. My brother is comtemplating buying a 2008 X-star (low, low hours, practically new) for about the same price these clowns are asking for the I/O.

If you progress in …
If you progress in surfing beyond simply holding onto the handle, you will realize that many tricks involve riding up the wake and then back towards the boat. It doesn’t take a physics degree to realize that when you come back off the wake, towards the boat, you will be traveling faster than the boat at that point. A fall with forward momentum, and you are in the I/O prop.
Now if you surf at 40 MPH, then no, you can’t hit the boat. But that is as stupid a analogy as your skydiving one.

its getting expensive to own both boats and we are buying an xtreme 244 in order to combine two boats into one
the quality of both boats is not even a question, anyone that questions this simply is on this site out of fear & ignorance
the question is what type of boating are you interested in – we love to wake board and we love to boat in general on a big lake and the xtreme will give us the opportunity to both well!

wow is this ad ever stupid when they compaare the hole shot the inboard is faster to 20mph (riding speed) i am sure that that extra 5 mp top end is that much more exilirating along with another 5 gallons of fuel capacity. handling wise i’d like to see a stern drive make a powerturn like a v drive and the majority of v drive wakeboard boats do not have an 8.1 more like 5.7 if it wasnt for all this misdirection in this ad maybe people would give it more respect.
